100% Naturally Organic, Hand Made
Cocoa And Palm Oil Soap From Africa
Here is how I found a 100% Naturally Organic, Hand Made Cocoa And Palm Oil Soap.
I thought I had found the soap of the century!
3 bars of soap for 46p in Morrisons, Leeds, West Yorkshire UK.
The soap smelled nice. It lathered well and felt ok on my skin. I used it to bathe with and used a bar to wash my hands after using the bathroom.
My friends and I often discuss our good purchases and, so I mentioned the soap to some of my friends and they tried it and they also gave it some positive comments.
Obviously, a great purchase.
A few months ago, I decided to have an extended vacation in Africa.
I bought my ticket, got my visa and here I came.
Before I came I packed some shower gel cos its beautiful and HOT in Africa.
Therefore, showering regularly is necessary. And it’s not like showering in the UK. Mainly because there is no central heating, so the water flows at the same temperature that it is at its natural source.
I am not a cold-shower or cold-bath person in the UK, if the water ain’t warm, get the kettle on and some pots on the stove because some hot or warm water is needed!
Having said that, the water where I’m staying here in Africa is collected into a large on-site water tank where it is heated naturally by the sun, so the water is at an easily-bearable-slightly-below-luke-warm temperature. Which makes a nice brief change from the beautiful African heat.
Since being here my shower gel has started to run out. Time to get some more.
I asked the friendly helpful woman at a nearby shop for some African black soap.
For those of you who don’t know African black soap, it’s a 100% naturally organic soap that is made and widely used here in Africa. It has gone on to become globally popular.
She brought out a firm brown ball of………stuff!
I’m thinking ‘No that must be for washing your clothes, she clearly doesn’t understand what I want’.
So, I’ve asked again for African black soap and asked if the one she had handed me was for washing clothes. She pointed to some other soap which was yellow in colour and said, ‘no that is for clothes, this is for skin’.
I examined the brown ball of stuff in my hand and asked what is it made of?
Ok, I thought that sounds great. What else?
What chemicals are in it?
Are you sure?
So, you’re telling me that this soap is 100% natural and is only made of cocoa and palm oil?
I held the brown ball in my hand. It looked very natural in comparison to most of the other soaps available in the UK and slowly the feeling of ‘I HAVE TO TRY THIS SOAP!!’ came over me.
I felt so eager to test the soap that I ran the 5 miles home and jumped in the shower.
No, I didn’t.
But I was very happy with my 100% naturally organic, hand-made find.
After arriving home, the next opportunity I had, I got in the shower and ran the water.
The first thing I noticed was again how natural the soap felt in my hand.
The next thing I noticed was how quickly and easily it lathered.
After showering I dried myself and noticed that my skin felt clean, moisturised and comfortable.
I began to smile. NOW THIS is the soap of the century!
A little about me…..
Over the years I have tried lots of different washing, showering and bathing products and as I’ve become older, wiser and more responsible, I’ve started to look for products that are great for my face, body, hair AND are good for the ENVIRONMENT too.
Before I traveled over to Africa, my friend Janice who is a natural health advisor came to visit me and gave me some ‘friendly advice’ regarding the washing and bathing products in my bathroom.
"Please get rid of them because they are full of crap and are very slowly poisoning you. Would you put these chemicals into your body?" She said.
"No, so why put them onto your body?"
She had a very good point!
When I examined the labels of the products in my bathroom, I did not know what most of the ingredients were, but they were not natural.
Even though the FRONT label said, 'Natural Extracts' or 'Made With Natural Ingredients' the REAR label said a whole lot more!
For several years my friend Janice has been studying the effects of various chemicals that are used in our foods and body care products.
Her findings are alarming to say the least. MOST of the products we put into our bodies and use on our bodies are just as harmful as the products we use to clean our homes! Because the quantity of the harmful chemicals that are used in our body care products is lower, the damage they do builds up over a longer period.
The damage these unnatural products do can lead to brain disorders, mineral and vitamin deficiencies in our bodies, which can lead to eye, respiratory, skin, blood, digestive, bone and organ problems.
Belief it or not, the prolonged use of many of these products can also contribute to diabetes and cancer as well as other sicknesses.
Just imagine, all the waste water we empty down our sinks and bath tubs is full of these chemicals. Even if our countries have great water purification systems that don’t use chemicals that are harmful to the environment (which countries are those ??!!) some, if not all this now chemical waste is ending up in our seas, and oceans.
It is then going into the fishes etc. which live in the seas and oceans.
We then eat the fishes etc. and put the chemicals directly INTO our bodies!!
Anyway…..over here in Africa I had used this 100% Naturally Organic, Hand Made Cocoa And Palm Oil Soap only once, and was already enthusiastic about it.
I asked one of my friends, who is also from the UK and who is out here with me, to try the soap too.
She loved it. She has been here for quite some time and had always seen the 100% Naturally Organic, Hand Made Cocoa And Palm Oil Soap around but had never tried it. Like me she had assumed it was soap for washing clothes!
And surprisingly, her comments about it were the same as mine (and her comments were made without me telling her what I liked about the soap).
She found the soap:
Lathered quickly and very well
Didn’t leave her skin feeling dry as some soaps do. Which was important for her as her skin is a little dry in areas.
Now she says she will be buying some more.
I think that this soap is too good to keep to myself.
So, I am willing to share this hidden 100% Naturally Organic African treasure with you.
Here are some great benefits that you will enjoy:
A 100% Naturally Organic, Hand Made Cocoa And Palm Oil Soap, that has a rich creamy and bubbly lather.
